Triple-glazed caramel bacon is a decadent treat that combines the smoky, salty flavor of bacon with the sweet richness of caramel sauce.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound thick-cut bacon

  • 1 cup Coop's salted caramel sauce

Recipe:

1. Preheat the Oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. Prepare the Bacon:

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.

  • Arrange the thick-cut bacon slices in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Make sure the bacon slices do not overlap.

3. First Glaze:

  • Using a pastry brush, generously brush the caramel sauce over the top side of the bacon slices. Be sure to coat them evenly.

4. Bake:

  • Place the baking sheet with the caramel-coated bacon in the preheated oven.

5. Monitor and Glaze:

  • Bake for approximately 10-15 minutes or until the bacon starts to become slightly crispy.

  • Carefully remove the baking sheet from the oven. Flip the bacon slices over.

  • Brush more caramel sauce onto the other side of the bacon slices.

6. Second Glaze:

  • Return the baking sheet to the oven and continue baking for another 10-15 minutes, or until the bacon reaches your desired level of crispiness. The caramel sauce should become sticky and caramelized.

7. Third Glaze:

  • Remove the baking sheet from the oven one more time. Brush or drizzle additional caramel sauce over the bacon slices.

8. Finish Baking:

  • Place the baking sheet back in the oven for a final 5-10 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy, caramelized, and the caramel sauce has formed a triple-glazed coating.

9. Cool and Serve:

  • Allow the caramel-glazed bacon to cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet. The caramel will harden as it cools, creating a delightful crunch.

  • Carefully transfer the caramel bacon to a serving platter, and let it cool completely before serving. The bacon will be both sweet and savory, with a crispy caramel shell.

  • Delightful chopped up and served over greens.
