Skillet Cookie Method

Ingredients:

Pre-made cookie dough (enough to fill your skillet) or use your favorite cookie dough recipe

1 tablespoon butter (for greasing the skillet)

Coop’s hot fudge

Vanilla ice cream

Other toppings (optional): nuts, chocolate chips

Instructions:

1. Preheat Your Oven:

Preheat your oven to the temperature recommended on the pre-made cookie dough packaging. Typically, it's around 350°F (175°C).

2. Prepare the Skillet:

Choose a cast-iron skillet that can accommodate the amount of cookie dough you have. A 10-inch skillet is commonly used for this purpose.

Grease the skillet with about a tablespoon of butter, ensuring that the bottom and sides are well coated. This helps prevent the cookie from sticking and creates a delicious buttery crust.

3. Press Cookie Dough into the Skillet:

Take your pre-made cookie dough, which is usually in a cylindrical shape, and press it into the greased skillet. You can spread it evenly with your hands or a spatula.

4. Bake: Place the skillet in the preheated oven and bake according to the cookie dough package instructions. Typically, it takes around 15-20 minutes, but keep an eye on it. You want the cookie to be golden brown on the edges and slightly soft in the center.

6. Cool Slightly: Once baked, remove the skillet from the oven and let the cookie cool in the skillet for a few minutes. This allows it to firm up slightly and makes it easier to slice.

7. Serve Warm: Serve your skillet cookie warm directly from the skillet. You can scoop out portions with a spoon or serve it directly in the skillet for a rustic presentation.

8. Add Ice Cream and Hot Fudge: Serve your warm skillet cookie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and warmed Coop’s hot fudge drizzled on top. The contrast of warm cookie and cold ice cream is heavenly.

9. Enjoy: Dig into your skillet cookie and savor the gooey, warm, and delicious treat. It's perfect for sharing with friends and family.
