The Brioche Brilliance

Brioche Bread:

The star of the show, brioche bread, brings its rich, buttery, and slightly sweet notes to the party. Its tender crumb and golden crust make it the ideal canvas for a culinary masterpiece.

The Custard Bath:

Before the brioche meets the griddle, it takes a luxurious dip in a custard bath. Eggs, cream, a hint of vanilla, and a touch of cinnamon create a creamy, fragrant elixir that infuses each slice with flavor and moisture.

The Banana Ballet

Freshness and Sweetness:

Sliced bananas bring a natural sweetness and a hint of tropical freshness to the dish. They complement the richness of the brioche and add a delightful contrast in both taste and texture.

The ASSEMBLY

The Tower of Delight:

Stack those custard-soaked brioche slices, layering them with caramelized bananas, until you have a tower of delight that reaches for the heavens.

The Fudge Cascade:

Now, crown your creation with a cascade of Coop’s hot fudge drizzle. Watch as it flows down the sides, creating a tantalizing visual masterpiece that promises a symphony of flavors.

A Dusting of Sweetness:

For the finishing touch, a dusting of powdered sugar or a sprinkle of cocoa powder adds a touch of elegance and a subtle contrast to the rich flavors.

Ingredients

For the French Toast:

4 slices of thick brioche bread

2 large eggs

1/2 cup milk

1 tablespoon granulated sugar

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

Butter for cooking

For the Toppings:

2 ripe bananas, sliced

1/2 cup Coop's hot fudge sauce

Recipe

1. Prepare the French Toast:

In a shallow bowl or dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until well combined.

Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat and add a small amount of butter to coat the surface.

Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for a few seconds on each side but not so long that it becomes soggy.

Place the coated bread slices on the hot skillet and cook until they're golden brown and slightly crispy on each side, typically about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

2. Prepare the Toppings:

While the French toast is cooking, slice the ripe bananas into rounds. You can also add a sprinkle of powdered sugar over the bananas if you like.

Warm Coop's hot fudge sauce in the microwave for 30 seconds (whole jar) or on the stovetop in a warm water bath.

3. Assemble the French Toast:

Place a slice of the cooked French toast on a serving plate.

Top the French toast with the sliced bananas.

Drizzle a generous amount of warm hot fudge sauce over the bananas and French toast.

Optionally, you can add a dollop of whipped cream on top.

4. Serve and Enjoy:

Serve the homemade French toast with bananas and drizzled hot fudge immediately while it's warm.
